i believe that people should stop complaining about 'whats the point in living' or 'why are we here', i think if everyone stopped asking questions and got on and enjoyed life, by the end they would'nt care if there was an afterlife or not.
all i know is that im going to live my life to the fullest and if there is an afterlife, then that is a bonus and we are all lucky

I think it will always
I think it will always matter what happens after death. Is there a next life or heaven/hell awaits? Or will there be nothing? - These are the questions for which humanity has always given some kind of answers and these answers were the fundamental paths on which the people of those eras were walking forward. Our whole life is based on our own concept of afterlife. So these questions truly matter - wether you ask them or not.
The question of aftelife may
The question of aftelife may not be as fundamental as you say, people who act based on their moral feelings will come to heaven, should there be any, no matter what they believed when alive, so they don't have to care about it when on earth, beacause they it makes no difference for them.
What you wrote, that people
What you wrote, that people who act according to moral feelings will come to heaven, is not a fact, this is just your belief, your own imagination of afterlife. And so you live your life according to this picture, and you express your opinion according to this belief. But not all of the "moral people" do the same. Anyway, the Bible mentions some other things which are necessary to reach heaven, morality is not enough.
though you are probably
though you are probably right it is human nature to be exicessively cuirous (forgive spelling) so even if for some amount of time we as humanty achieved this then evualentlly someone would begin to ask the question and ruin hte whole thing
Sorry my friends, you missed
Sorry my friends, you missed the point. In order to get to heaven, we must love:
Firstly, God (above all),
All human kind (even our enemy).
- Live the ten commandments.
We know we are human beings, we do sin, therefore to be able to enter heaven's door, we must also ask forgiveness for our sins.
This concept might not be understood by our friends who does not believe in God. And I do not know what they do with there wrongdoings and/or how they ask for redemption.
But, yes, good moral values alone is not good enough, and curiosity is not a sin.
